Airport

Bradley International Airport

Service Animals:
  • Service animals are allowed throughout the entire airport.
Pets:
  • With the exception of the Escape Lounge, pets are allowed throughout the entire Airport, however, they must remain in their kennel at all times.
  • For the health and safety of the pet, it is advisable to discuss travel plans with a veterinarian.
Pet Relief Areas:
  • An outdoor relief area is located on the lower level, adjacent to Door #1. We also have one pet relief area inside Terminal A, located near the iStore. Please follow directional signage.
  • Passengers are encouraged to allow their furry friends and service animals to use the relief areas prior to their scheduled flight.
  • Disposable bags, scooper, and a trash can are available.

Tweed

Service Animals:

  • Service animals are allowed throughout the entire airport.

Pets:

  • Pets are allowed throughout the entire Airport, however, they must remain in their kennel at all times.

Bus

  • A service animal (dog) is not allowed to occupy a seat on the bus. Customers with disabilities can bring their service animals (dogs) into all transit facilities. The animals (dogs) must be securely leashed for the safety of all customers.

Northwestern Connecticut Transit District

  • Pets must be confined to a carry on, lap-size box. Dogs and cats must be current on their rabies vaccination and all dogs must be licensed

Ferry

Bridgeport & Port Jefferson Ferry

1 Ferry Access Rd, Bridgeport

  • Leashed or in a pet carrier. Pets must be kept outside the main cabin, and are limited to the back or upper decks

Cross Sound Ferry

  • Pets are allowed in approved pet carriers or on leashes in designated areas on our auto ferries. Pets are not permitted on the passenger seats. Pets must be in approved pet carriers on the Sea Jet (high speed ferry).

Train

Amtrak 

  • Dogs and cats up to 20 pounds (combined weight of pet and carrier) are welcome on trips up to seven hours on most routes (some restrictions apply*). Our check-in process is simple, making traveling with your four-legged friend easy and enjoyable.

CT Rail- Hartford Line

  • All pets are required to be transported in a closed, well-ventilated, pet-safe carrier. The maximum size for pet carriers is 19″ long x 14″ wide x 10.5″ high. Maximum weight of pet with carrier is 20 pounds. Non-service animals over 20 pounds are not permitted. The carrier may be hard or soft sided but must be leak proof. Pet owners must also be mindful of other customers, and ensure their pets do not occupy empty seats. Please note when bringing your pet on all Amtrak trains there are specific reservation and fee requirements. Please see Amtrak.com for more information or call 1-800-USA-RAIL.

Metro North

  • On Metro-North Railroad, your pet must be carried in a kennel or similar container or securely controlled on a leash throughout the journey. Your pet must not be offensive to other riders 

     

Shore Line East

  • Trained service dogs assisting passengers are permitted without restriction. All other pets must be leashed or confined in a closed, ventilated container to be permitted onboard the train. Pets must not present a security concern or disturb other passengers.
